In 1988, Jan opened the doors of Pins & Needles in Middleburg Heights, Ohio with one simple belief — that every sewist deserves real guidance, real expertise, and someone who genuinely cares about helping them find the right machine.

For over 35 years she built something rare. Not just a store — a community. A place where beginners felt welcome, where experienced sewists came back again and again, and where no one ever left without exactly the help they came for. Customers drove hours to see her. Some still fly in today.

Her son Connor saw what she had built and knew the world needed more of it.

So he picked up a camera, sat down with his mom, and started sharing her with the world. Sew It Online is that vision — taking 45 years of Jan's knowledge, warmth, and love for the craft and bringing it to every sewist, everywhere, no matter where they live or what time it is when inspiration strikes.
