Coverstitch machines finish a knit hem the way ready-to-wear brands do, running chain, cover and wide-cover stitches. Baby Lock, Bernette and Janome build this range, and three of the eight, including the 8-thread Baby Lock Splendor, also serge, replacing a standalone overlock machine rather than sitting alongside one.
